T-Shirt Art Design Contest for the 2020 Credit Union Cherry Blossom Kids Run

Are you - or are you the parent of - a blossoming young artist? The organizers of the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Kids Run are now accepting designs for the 2020 Kids Run T-Shirt Art Design Competition.  The winning design will be used on the Kids Run T-shirts at the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Kids Run on April 4, 2020.  The due date for submitting artwork is January 15, 2020.

Here are the requirements and some suggestions: 

  • Artists must be 12 years of age or younger.
  • The artwork must include the name of the race, “Credit Union Cherry Blossom Kids Run.” The artwork must include the race date, “April 4, 2020” and “Washington, DC.”  This can either be incorporated into the art or appear underneath it. Besides that, anything goes! The artwork may include - or not include - cherry blossoms, Memorials, runners, etc.  This is a chance for our young artists to express their creativity!
  • The artwork must be  submitted as a graphic file(s) of the artwork (.jpg, .eps, .tif, etc.) as well as in .pdf format directly to Competition Coordinator Arlene Solbeck at solbeck.arlene@gmail.com
  • Artists may submit more than one design.

The winning artist will receive a $150 gift card, plus travel and lodging (for the family) on race weekend, April 3-4, 2020 to attend the Kids Run.  The winning artist also will receive official race merchandise and invitations to the Volunteer and Race Committee dinners during race weekend.   The parents of the winning artist will be required to sign a release governing the terms of its use.

Submissions

The artwork must be  submitted as a graphic file(s) of the artwork (.jpg, .eps, .tif, etc.) as well as in .pdf format directly to Competition Coordinator Arlene Solbeck at solbeck.arlene@gmail.com
