Wave Start
The Ten Mile will use a wave start again this year. Runners will be assigned to a color-coded starting corral based on previous race times. Colors on bib numbers will match starting corrals. There will be
six waves of approximately 2,500 runners each. The waves will start at three-minute intervals. This should ease crowding on the course. Runners outside the top 25 males and females will be scored on net times.

Union Cherry Blossom 5K Run-Walk
This event is designed for individuals who don't
wish to attempt 10 miles, or for walkers and relaxed-pace runners who feel they
would take longer than 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete 10 miles. All 5K entrants receive the same amenities as the 10 milers, including the
official race t-shirt, their overall times and places in the event, and
post-race food and drink. All runners will be scored on net times.
The 5K Run Walk will begin at
8:40 A.M. on Sunday, Apr. 11, 2010.
Kids' Run 1K
1K (5/8 of a mile) fun run for kids ages 5 to
12. The run starts after the 10 Miler is underway and is on a loop
course, closely monitored by sentries. Registration is at race site on the
morning of the run and is free. Parents or legal guardians must be present to
sign a waiver. All finishers receive a custom made medal.
The Kids' Run 1K will begin at
8:15 A.M. on Sunday, Apr. 11, 2010.

PRRO Championship Circuit
The Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run is a member of the

2010 Peachtree Road Race 10K in Atlanta, GA on July 4, 2010.
Seeding
Times Required
In order to ensure a safe start in the 10 Mile, we will be lining up runners
into six corrals based on previous race times. All entrants must provide a past 10-mile time (or
a projected time based on a 10K time). Individuals not submitting a time will be
placed in the slowest time group.
Time Limit
Due to the large number of tourists in town for
the cherry blossoms, we can only keep the course open
for a maximum of 2 hours and 20 minutes after the 7:40 a.m. start. If
you cannot complete the course in under this time limit, switch to the
5K Run-Walk instead.
T-Shirts and Amenities
Participant short-sleeved T-shirts are given to all 10 Mile and 5K entrants.
Shirts must be picked up Saturday, April 10 or Sunday, April 11. Shirts can be mailed to no-shows for $6.00.
Post-race refreshments and random prizes will be available at the awards
ceremony following the race in the 10 Mile staging area. Post-race refreshments
will also be available in the 5K staging area.
Volunteering
We will need over 700 volunteers to conduct the 2010 event. All volunteers will receive the official long-sleeved volunteer t-shirt and a transferable guaranteed entry (at prevailing entry fee) into the
2011 race.

sign up to volunteer.
Warnings
For everyone’s safety, running with a
dog, baby stroller, racing stroller, or headphones is NOT
permitted.
Weather
The normal temperature at race time is in the 40F to 50F range.

Credit Union Miracle Day, Inc.,
a partnership of credit unions and affiliated organizations, is the title
sponsor of the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run. Proceeds from the run
benefit the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), an international non-profit
organization dedicated to helping children by raising funds and awareness for
170 Children’s Hospitals throughout North America.
Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives owned by those who use
their services. Funds are federally insured, but unlike banks, there are no
stockholders at credit unions, so earnings are returned to member-owners in the
form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and low or no-fee products and
services. Credit unions are chartered to serve groups that share a common bond. Nearly
8,500 credit unions with assets exceeding $759 billion serve 90 million
Americans.
To find out if you’re eligible to join a credit union:
• Ask
your employer – you may be eligible by virtue of your place of employment.
• Ask
your family members – you may be eligible to join as a relative.
• Look
in your community – many churches, clubs or professional societies offer
access to credit unions as a benefit of membership.
