Number Transfers Closed
Please do not transfer your number to anyone else at this point or run unofficially!

We instituted the transfer policy on a trial basis this year in order to give flexibility to runners who found they could not make the race for one reason or another. We needed to close the transfers on Feb. 29th in order to give us time to prepare and send out bib numbers to all our entrants. Even with the transfer policy, we have factored in a no-show rate into our calculations. The bottom line is we ordered our supplies and planned our services based on 12,000 runners. If more numbers change hands at this point our calculations will be off and we will exceed our 12,000 runner limit. This means we could run out of food and water for our legitimately registered runners and could be denied use of this fabulous course in the future.

Also, if we discover that implementing the transfer policy does not reduce the number of unofficial runners, we will discontinue it next year. Please cooperate with us -- and don't ruin the race for your fellow runners.

We invite anyone not running to click here to sign up for an email notification about the registration process for the 2009 event.

Sincerely,
The Organizing Committee
