U.S. Women's Ten Mile Championship, Presented by America's Credit Unions
The 2013 Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run will serve as the host of the U.S. Women's Ten Mile Championship, Presented by America's Credit Unions. There will be an advance start for the elite women, providing the women an opportunity to compete for times that will be recognized as coming from a women’s-only race.
Prize Money
The U.S. Women's Championship will offer a prize purse of $14,400 for U.S. Women only. U.S. women will also be eligible to win open prize money based on their overall finish. There will also be a bonus of $2,500 offered to anyone who sets a new American record in a women's only race, bettering the current 54:38 mark set by the late Sally Meyerhoff in the 2009 Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run.The Prize Money breakdown for U.S. women is as follows:
