The organizing committee of the Credit Union
Cherry Blossom is allowing accepted runners who cannot participate in
the race to transfer their registration to runners who did not get
accepted into the event. The transfer period
begins Monday February 1, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. All transfers
must be completed by 11:59 P.M. on Sunday, February 28, 2010. No transfers
will be accepted after this date.
Overview of the
Transfer Process
Number transfers are initiated by
registered runners seeking to transfer their numbers. Upon clicking the
link below, the individual transferring a number will be taken to a
"Transfer Number" form which he or she will complete and
submit. Once this form is submitted, the sender will be emailed an
electronic transfer code within a few minutes. This code should be sent
to the recipient of the transferred number. The recipient must use the
code and enter the race within 72 hours of the time at which is was
issued to the sender. The code becomes void after 72 hours.
The transferee (the person accepting the transferred registration) will
pay the $12.50 transfer fee when he or she completes an entirely new
application for entry into the race. The registration of the sender will
be dropped from the race.
Transfer Rules
Here are some additional rules governing
the transfer process.
- All transfers by runners entered in
the 10 Mile must go to individuals wishing to run the 10 Mile,
and transfers by runners entered in the 5K Run Walk must go to
individuals wishing to participate in the 5K Run Walk. Ten mile
entrants cannot transfer to individuals wanting to participate in
the 5K, and 5K entrants cannot transfer to individuals wanting to
participate in the 10 Mile. The entry fees for each race are:
$38.20
(including service fee) for
the 10 Mile, $27.60 (including service fee) for the 5K.
- If the original registrant ordered
an Upgrade shirt, the upgrade transfers to the
individual receiving the registration. Unfortunately we
cannot change the upgrade size because the upgrades have been
pre-ordered.
- If the original registration ordered
the standard cotton shirt, there will not be an opportunity
for the new registrant to order the Performance Upgrade shirt at
this time.
- There will be a $12.50 (including
service fee) transfer fee
which will be paid by the individual accepting the transferred
registration. Reimbursement of the entry fee to the original
registrant must be handled privately by the two parties involved in
the transaction.
- The Credit Union Cherry Blossom
does not condone the charging of fees over the standard entry fees
for each event for a transferred registration. Posts offering or
seeking numbers at fees in excess of the standard entry fee are
subject to removal from the message board.

Please note that the process is designed
to maintain the privacy of both parties.
WARNING: Individuals seeking
numbers and individuals offering numbers must post their notices on the
correct bulletin board. Individuals seeking numbers making posts on the
bulletin board for runners transferring their numbers will have their
notices removed. No exceptions.
Remember that the transfer
period runs from Monday, February 1 at 10:00 A.M. until February 28 at 11:59
