Welcome to the special Congressional Registration website for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile, 5K and Double Blossom.

Capitol Hill Registration OPENS ON JANUARY 26,2026

Race Info

 

Capitol Hill Competition (CHC) Events:

  • 10 Mile: April 12, 2026. Open to Capitol Hill Teams and individuals.
  • 5K Presented by ASICS: April 11, 2026. Competition in the 5K is for individuals only. There is NO team competition in the 5K.
  • Double Blossom: Double Blossom runners run both events (5K on Saturday and 10 Mile on Sunday). Double Blossom runners can run the 10 Mile as part of a CHC team and the 5K as an individual. There is no Team Competition in the Double Blossom.

Registration

Congressional Registration for the 2026 Race will open at 10 a.m. on January 26 and remain open through 11:59 p.m. on March 2, 2026.

Fees are as follows (all fees include a standard cotton t-shirt; you will be given the opportunity to upgrade your shirt to an ASICS performance t-shirt and/or purchase a medal, a photo package, etc., if you wish):

    • 10 Mile – TBD for an individual entry, plus a service fee.
    • 5K – TBD, plus a service fee.
    • Double Blossom TBD, plus a service fee (5K on Saturday, April 11 and 10 Mile on Sunday, April 12),.

Note: If you order any additional items, such as a t-shirt upgrade or medal, there will be an added service fee for these additional items.


About the 10 Mile

The 10 mile is held on a flat, fast course with five water and aid stations on the course. Entrants must complete the 10 mile in under 2:20:00 net time. The 10 mile will start at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Congressional registration will take place through 11:59 p.m. on March 2, 2026.

About the 5K Presented by ASICS

Please Note: The 5K will take place on Saturday, April 11 (the day before the 10 Mile). Congressional registration will take place through 11:59 p.m. on March 2, 2026.

The 5K Presented by ASICS will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026. All 5K runners must finish and be off the course no later than 10:30 a.m.

Congressional Cup: To the fastest House or Senate Team
House Division Teams: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place plaques and one award for BEST TEAM NAME
Senate Division Teams: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place plaques and one award for BEST TEAM NAME
Agency Division Teams: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place plaques and one award for BEST TEAM NAME

Individual Award Categories

House side: Fastest male and female finisher
Senate side: Fastest male and female finisher
Agency side: Fastest male and female finisher

Capitol Hill Competition Packet Pickup

10 Mile, 5K and Double Blossom Packet Pick-up

The Credit Union Cherry Blossom Capitol Hill Competition will have a special packet pick-up in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center on Friday, April 10 and possibly on Thursday, April 9. Anyone who cannot make it to the Capitol Visitor Center on Thursday or Friday will have to pick up their packet at either the National Building Museum (10 Mile) on Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11 or the 5K staging area (5K and Double Blossom) on Saturday, April 11. Full details, including firm dates and locations, will be posted here when they become available.


10 Mile Race Day Capitol Hill Competition Tent

On race day, we hope our Capitol Hill Competition 10 Mile and Double Blossom participants will stop by the Capitol Hill Competition tent located on the Washington Monument Grounds before and after your run. Details about the location of this tent will be sent to confirmed entrants shortly before race day.
