Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run and 5K Run-Walk Capitol Hill Competition

Welcome to the special Congressional  Registration website for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile & 5K.

Capitol Hill Registration is now OPEN.

In-Person Run

The Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile will be held on April 2, 2023 and the 5K will be held on April 1, 2023.

Capitol Hill Competition in the 10 Mile will be open to Capitol Hill Teams and individuals. Competition in the 5K will be for individuals only. There is NO team competition in the 5K.

Capitol Hill runners will also be given the opportunity to register for the “Double Blossom” (running both the 5K on Saturday and the 10 Mile on Sunday, thereby completing a Half Marathon over the course of the weekend) when they fill out their entry form.

Congressional Registration for the 2023 In-Person Race will be open through 11:59 P.M. on February 28, 2023.

Registration

If you wish to run the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run or the 5K Run-Walk, you must register. Before proceeding, please read the following brief description of the steps necessary to enter and reconfirm your entry. If you wish to enter as part of a team, check with your team captain to ensure that they have set up your team before you enter as an individual.

E-mail Address — You will be asked for your e-mail address. You may access the registration form by using your Capitol Hill email address, although this is not required. If you prefer to use your private, personal email address, please send an email to chc@cherryblossom.org and we will send you a code which you can use to enter the Capitol Hill Competition. Whatever email you use for registration is the email that will be used for confirmation of your entry.

Register — You will then enter all the normal race registration data (name, address, etc.)

Payment — The entry fee must be paid by credit card at the time of registration.

Fees are as follows:

    • $55 for an individual entry into the 10-mile run, plus a service fee
    • $45 for the 5K Run-Walk (no team competition in the 5K), plus a service fee
    • $100 for the “Double Blossom” (5K on Saturday, April 1 and 10 Mile on Sunday, April 2), plus a service fee

Note: If you order any additional items, such as a t-shirt upgrade, medal, or carbon offset, there will be an added service fee for these additional items.

Confirmation — Upon completing entry of your registration information, you will receive an entry confirmation, which you should print and save.

Read the Race Instructions — After you’ve completed your entry, we encourage you to go to the main Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile & 5K website to read additional information about the race. This includes details important to all entrants in the race, including course mapsgeneral information, and details on the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Health & Fitness Expo presented by Wegmans. You will also receive a confirmation sheet with runner instructions.

Individual Registration

If you will be running as an individual in the 10 Mile, 5K, or Double Blossom, you can click the link below and register any time through 11:59 P.M. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

Team Registration

If you will be running on a team in the 10 Mile Run (there is no team competition in the 5K Run-Walk), the registration process consists of two steps. You should also follow these steps if you would like to enter the Double Blossom and run  as a member of a Capitol Hill team for the 10 Mile and run the 5K as an individual:

Step 1:
The Team Captain (who does not have to be running the race and who may set up more than one team) must create the team first. This can be done by clicking on the link below anytime through 11:59 P.M. on February 28. All team captains will need to set up new User IDs and passwords this year. (Those from last year are no longer operative.)

The Team Captain will pay a one-time $20 team registration fee (plus service charge) when setting up the team and gives the team a name (there are special awards for the most creative team name). This team fee is only paid once by the Team Captain; individual team members pay only the $55 individual registration fee for the 10 Mile or $100 individual registration fee for the Double Blossom and pay no additional fee to join the team (see below for details about Joining a Team).

If the captain will be running on the team, he, she or they will have the opportunity to register as an individual affiliated with that team at the time the team is created.

Once the team is set up, the Team Captain should let all of the prospective team members know the name of the team.

Step 2:
From now through February 28, prospective team members register as individuals by using the link below:

During the registration process, prospective team registrants will have an opportunity to affiliate with any team that has been set up in advance. Each registrant will be responsible for the $55 individual registration entry or $100 Double Blossom registration entry. (The $20 team fee is paid only once by the team captain when creating the team.)

If your office is planning to enter a team, we strongly encourage your team captain to set up the team before individuals sign up. If individuals register before the team they want to join is created, they will need to contact the team captain, who will be able to place them on the team. This is possible, but more cumbersome than having the teams created first.
