CHC Individual Registration
Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile & 5K Capitol Hill Competition
Individual Registration (and those running on a CHC Team who are NOT Team Captains)
This year we are using a new registration provider, Race Roster. When you click the button at the bottom of these instructions to start the registration process, you will be asked to create a Race Roster account, if you do not already have one. This only takes a few seconds and is very easy, just follow the prompts.
Once you create or sign into your Race Roster account, you will be ready to begin the 2-step process to register for the race. Note: If you plan to run as part of a Capitol Hill Team, ask your Team Captain if they have created the team and what the team name is.
STEP 1 – Submit Interest Form
To ensure that only participants eligible for the Capitol Hill Competition register for the race, we ask that you first fill out a Submit Interest Form by clicking the Submit Interest Form button at the bottom of this page. Enter the information requested and click Submit Order.
- E-mail Address — You will be asked for your e-mail address. To facilitate the process of validating that you are an eligible Capitol Hill Competition participant, we ask that you use your Capitol Hill email address, although this is not required. Whatever email you use on the registration is the email that will be used for confirmation of your entry.
Once you click Submit Order, you will receive 2 emails: one from Race Roster, which is simply a receipt that you have submitted the form, and the second from the Credit Union Cherry Blossom with the Subject line: Capitol Hill Competition – Instructions on how to register. That email will contain two important pieces of information:
- A link to access the Race Registration Form
- A validation code to put into the Access Code box on the Race Registration portal to unlock the Race Registration form.
STEP 2 – Race Registration Form
Click the link in the email from Credit Union Cherry Blossom, and then on the resultant page click on the I HAVE AN ACCESS CODE button. On a laptop or computer this is in the menu to the right side of your screen (see image below); on a phone it is the second option under REGISTER at the top of your screen.

Paste your validation code into the box, then click the Validate button (see screenshot below). You do not need to select a Sub-event on this screen; just paste your code into the Validate box and click Validate.

- Once you have pasted in your Validation Code and clicked Validate, a new screen will appear.
- Click on the Sub-event Capitol Hill Competition Registration and you will see 5 options (see screenshot below). Skip the first two options – those are for Team Captains who want to create a Team (if you do want to create a team, you are in the wrong place – CLICK HERE for Team Registration). The last three options are the individual race registration options – 10 Mile, 5K and Double Blossom. Choose which race you wish to enter.

- Scroll down to start filling out the Race Registration form.
- If you plan to run as part of a Capitol Hill team in the 10 Mile, you can select the Team you wish to join from a dropdown during the registration process, as long as your Team Captain has already created the team (if your Team Captain has not yet created the team, tell them to do so), and as long as you are not registering for the Double Blossom (more on that below). Make sure you know the name of the team you want to join!
- If you register for the race and your Team Captain has not yet created the team, you will be able to join the Team once it is created from your Race Roster dashboard. Log into the dashboard (https://raceroster.com/dashboard/participants/72646) and you will see your 10 Mile Registration. In the middle of the registration there will be a box labeled Team and you will see a button in it that says “Join Team.” (see screenshot below). Click on that button and you will be able to pick your team from a dropdown.

- Double Blossom runners cannot join a team during the registration process. They can however, join an already created team from their Race Roster dashboards after they have registered. Log into the dashboard (https://raceroster.com/dashboard/participants/72646) and you will see that you now have 3 registrations – the Double Blossom registration, the 10 Mile registration and the 5K registration. Scroll down to your 10 Mile Registration. In the middle of the registration there will be a box labeled Team and you will see a button in it that says “Join Team.” (see screenshot above). Click on that button and you will be able to pick your team from a dropdown.
