Mask Requirements at the Race Site
Throughout the lead up to this year’s Credit Union Cherry Blossom on September 12, we have said that we would conduct the event in accordance with all federal and municipal guidelines. On August 16, the National Park Service implemented an updated masking policy available here. We have received guidance from our local National Park Service permit office that participants in the race will be required to wear masks both before and after the race, but not during the race. Masks will be required both on the Washington Monument Grounds and while waiting in the starting line corrals. Masks may be removed once each runner begins to run after the start of his or her corral. At this time, our plan is to line up in our traditional six waves and to use the traditional Memorial Bridge course for the 10 mile, and to line up for a single start in the 5K Run-Walk.
Mask Requirements at the Expo
In compliance with current Washington, DC city regulations, masks must be worn at the National Building Museum when picking up your packets and attending the Health and Fitness Expo on Friday or Saturday.
